In the Spirit of Cordillera Hospitality

Fall Mornings and a Fresh Cup: The Story Behind Our Coffee

By:
Michael McClellan, Director of Food & Beverage

Every day when we step onto this property and walk through the dining rooms, the bars, the patios and all the heartbeat spaces of the Club, we are reminded of something we do not say often enough: how deeply grateful we are for the people who make this place what it is. You, our membership, are the reason long days feel meaningful, busy seasons feel purposeful and the pursuit of hospitality feels worthwhile.

The true measure of a great club is not found solely in its architecture or its menus, important as those elements may be. It is found in the feeling you experience the moment you walk through the door. A sense of warmth. A sense of ease. A sense of being somewhere that knows you. That blend of comfort and personable service exists here because of you.

Recently, as the holiday season began, I overheard a simple conversation between a member and a server in Axis. On the surface, it was nothing extraordinary, just two people talking about life, school, family and goals. Yet the exchange was genuine and warm. It was the kind of moment that makes this place feel less like a destination and more like a home.

Moments like that stay with me because they capture something essential. The relationship between our membership and our team is personal, not transactional. It is at the heart of everything we strive to deliver.

Every time a member walks into one of our dining rooms, something subtle but powerful happens. The team lifts its focus. There is intention in every movement. They prepare not simply to serve, but to create meaning. Not just to deliver a meal, but to offer hospitality that makes people feel cared for, recognized and truly valued.

This started as a thank-you but it became a promise.

As we look ahead in 2026, we are recommitting ourselves to a higher standard of service, a deeper sense of care and a level of hospitality that goes beyond expectation. Not because it is good business, but because it is who we aspire to be and what you deserve.

Our Promise of Presence

We promise to be more than order takers and food runners.
    We will be present.
    We will notice.
    We will anticipate.

Whether it is remembering your favorite drink, celebrating a milestone, or greeting you by name with sincerity, our goal is to create thoughtful moments that feel effortless and become memories you carry with you. Service is not simply about plates, beverages or beautiful views from the patio. It is about how you and your family and friends feel while you are here.

Our Promise of Consistency

Great hospitality becomes powerful when it becomes reliable. The Old Fashioned in Axis should taste the same as the one in Twin Sisters. The Tuesday burger should be just as satisfying on Sunday. Consistency is one of the most important ingredients in hospitality, and it will be a major focus for us in the year ahead.

No matter where you dine, Axis, Twin Sisters, the Main Dining Room or the Men’s Grill, you should recognize the same standard of care. Consistency creates comfort. Comfort builds trust. And trust is the foundation of everything we do.

Our Promise of Value

We promise that your experiences at Cordillera Ranch will feel unquestionably worth your time, your evening and your membership.

Value is not defined by price. Value is defined by the warmth of the greeting, the quality of every plate, the thought behind every detail and the feeling you take home with you. We want you to remember not just the meals served, but the evenings that felt meaningful.

Our Promise of Intention

Everything we do is designed with one purpose in mind — to make this Club feel like the very best part of your week. We promise experiences that feel curated and personal, food and cocktails created with care, and service that feels effortless, intuitive and genuine. This is hospitality not meant to impress, but to connect.

Our Promise of Heart

What makes Cordillera Ranch truly special is not the view of Twin Sisters or what appears on the menu. It is who sits at the tables.

You bring out the best in our team.
You give meaning to our work.
You create a community built on recognition, kindness and relationship.

We promise to honor that, nurture it and build upon it this year.

Our Final Promise

We won’t get everything right every time but you have our word that we’ll always care deeply, listen closely, and work relentlessly to deliver the experience you deserve.

Thank you for inspiring us.

Thank you for challenging us.

Thank you for believing in what we do.

And thank you, sincerely, for allowing us to be a part of your lives at Cordillera Ranch.

Living Longer or Living Healthier: Your Lifespan vs. Health Span

At Cordillera Ranch, we often talk about achieving new fitness goals and enjoying a round of golf, tennis or pickleball. These activities and so many others we do are central to a vibrant life here at the Clubs. But how do we measure the success of our health? Do we want to live longer and “survive” our life, or do we want to thrive? Some say we would like quality over quantity; I believe we can have quality in the quantity of years in our lives.

Welcome Letter

It’s Been a Year of Progress and Connection

As the days grow shorter and our community begins to sparkle with holiday lights, I wanted to share a quick note of gratitude and a few friendly reminders as we head into the season. This time of year always seems to bring out the best in people — more get-togethers, more shared meals and more neighborly help when it’s needed most. That spirit is what makes Cordillera Ranch such a special place to call home and, frankly, it’s not solely unique to this time of year.
