Dog Days of Summer

The Cordillera Ranch Property Owner’s Association (CRPOA) is working to be more communicative regarding our neighborhood. Ongoing, we’d like to provide reminders, information, programs or opportunities to help our Property Owners with subjects they might not be familiar with or need reminding of.

Our rapid rate of home construction in turn brings many new residents, both two-legged and four-legged. We have a lot of animal lovers out here, but all residents may not be aware of the community’s effort to keep pets and people safe. In accordance with Cordillera Ranch Covenants and Design Guidelines, all pets must be contained by a fence or leashed while outside a fence. Unfortunately, some pets were born to run and escape the comfy confines of their home or yard. Our residents play a large role in identifying your pet and getting it back to you quickly and safely. But we need your help.

Years ago, Cordillera Ranch resident Jay Pennington created a database of pets in our community. In that tradition, and to ensure your pet’s safety and ease of identification by others, AND in recognition of National Responsible Dog Ownership Day on Saturday, September 21 (yes, there’s a day for that), we strongly urge you to register your pet and get a Cordillera Ranch tag.

For each pet, simply email the following information to Jay@jay-pennington.com: Pet owner’s name(s), address, home phone number, cell phone number(s) and email address(es). Also include the pet’s name, breed, sex, size (small, medium, large), whether the pet has a chip implanted, the pet’s primary color or markings (unusual markings/scars/look), the color/style of collar that the pet wears and the desired tag size (regular or small). The information will be added to the database, Jay will drop off tag(s) at the Real Estate Sales Office in the new Cordillera Ranch Visitors Center, and the pet owner will be contacted to pick up tag(s) at their convenience.

Let’s work together to ensure the safety of our pets and residents.

Feel free to contact the CRPOA about this or other subjects at 830.336.3501 or email us at crpoa@cordilleraranch.com.
