How did you get into your field?
After a 20 year career in the corporate world, my wife and I decided to move from California back to Boerne in 2008 to raise our three boys.  My family had been in the real estate business in Boerne since the early 80’s and I joined in the family business upon our return to Texas.

How long have you been with Cordillera Ranch?
I started October 1, 2012.

What is your favorite aspect of working in the Hill Country?
The beauty and sense of calm living.

What are you hobbies/interests?
At this stage in life my interests are whatever my kids interests are, so at the moment: soccer, basketball, karate, choir and musical theater.  I also love to golf and hang out with my wife.

Favorite sporting event you have attended?
Any game at Kyle Field watching the Texas Aggies and the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band.

Favorite quote?
“The glory of God is man fully alive.” – St. Irenaeus

Favorite movie and why?
Les Miserables, because it’s a story of the redemption of one man that trickles down to the redemption of many others.

Favorite aspect working at Cordillera Ranch?
The people I work with are great and fun to be with, and it gives me the opportunity to help families become a part of this wonderful lifestyle and community.

What has been the greatest challenge in your business?
I don’t see things as challenges. I see them as opportunities.

What has been the most rewarding experience in your business?
The numerous returning clients who trust me again with their real estate needs.

Amenity Reservations on the Ranch

Cordillera Ranch offers a variety of amenities for property owners and the new POA website allows online reservations for those amenities. To place a reservation request, simply log into the Cordillera Ranch POA website at www.cordilleraranchpoa.com, use the drop down on the For Residents tab and select Reservations, which lists the multiple amenities available. Property owners will then need to select which amenity they wish to reserve, and fill out the online form. The completed form is sent to the POA to review, at which time the POA will approve or deny the request. Once a decision has been made by the POA, the property owner is notified.

Where Do You Spend Your Time?

I recently read a story retold by the father of a young family of three that included himself, his wife and their young daughter. According to his recounting, after dinner they were each challenged to share an object symbolic of how they would describe one another to a stranger. When it was the daughter’s turn to share the item she thought to be representative of her father, she produced a cell phone. At her young age, she wasn’t taking a sarcastic “shot” at her dad, rather, it was how she truly saw him when he was home.
