Play-A-Hole #7

Corey Roberson, Director of Golf

The 7th hole at Cordillera Ranch is our second Par-3 that you will encounter and can look pretty daunting from the tee. The green slopes away from you and to the right while being guarded by a large bunker on the front/right side and a couple of bunkers on the left side. In case you thought long was safe … it’s not — there’s another bunker there, too!

One of the coolest things about #7 is all the different tee box angles. Typically, the Blue tee will float between the left and right tee box — both paying roughly the same yardage depending on the hole location. The Silver tee has the least elevation and is situated to the right. The predominant wind is behind you making the club selection a little more difficult. When the pin is on the front of the green, a short miss in-line with the pin will leave a reasonable up-and-down. When it’s on the right side of the green, you want to shift your aimpoint more towards the center. The back right part of that green slopes away from you and to the right, which makes a direct approach to that hole location very difficult to judge.

See you on the course!

Living Longer or Living Healthier: Your Lifespan vs. Health Span

Do we want to live longer and “survive” our life, or do we want to thrive? Some say we would like quality over quantity; I believe we can have quality in the quantity of years in our lives.

Welcome Letter

It’s Been a Year of Progress and Connection

As the days grow shorter and our community begins to sparkle with holiday lights, I wanted to share a quick note of gratitude and a few friendly reminders as we head into the season. This time of year always seems to bring out the best in people — more get-togethers, more shared meals and more neighborly help when it’s needed most. That spirit is what makes Cordillera Ranch such a special place to call home and, frankly, it’s not solely unique to this time of year.
