Moments That Made The Year: 2025

The Clubs of Cordillera Ranch had another active, fun-filled year with continued investment in amenities and highlighted by many special events for members and their families to participate in throughout the year.

Stu Rowland and the Agronomy team once again did an outstanding job in creating excellent playing conditions for our members this year. In September, they moved into a new Golf Course Maintenance equipment building that was destroyed by a fire in late 2024. It truly is a state-of-the-art facility with increased storage space that houses all new golf course equipment. Other changes that were made in the Maintenance service yard included the finish out of another storage building, relocation of sand and fertilizer storage bins and fuel storage that allowed for improved traffic flow and parking. The team is very happy and we are now positioned very well for the future.

The golf operation enjoyed another solid year filled with some great tournaments on the schedule for both men and women. It was so much fun to see junior golfers participating in the Little Linkstars program, and kudos to Director of Instruction Katie Dillard for all she does in leading our Player Development program. Thank you to Corey Roberson for all of his leadership as the Director of Golf. Corey recently accepted a job back in Dallas at Lakewood CC to be closer to family and we wish him all the best. We currently are interviewing for his replacement and hope to have someone in place in mid-February.

It is hard to believe Chef Isaac Cantu has led the Culinary Team since 2012! We continue to offer a wide variety of menu offerings, from steaks and seafood to more casual dining options. The Club hosted many special events and private events this past year, and I encourage all of you to consider the Club for any of your Food and Beverage needs. We are very proud of the catering options available to you and the special touches we can deliver for you and your event.

January marks the time when fitness goals reign supreme! I hope you are striving to reach yours as the new year begins. If not, it is not too late to reach out to Director of Fitness and Wellness Tamra Christiansen and her team who can help you!

I hope you have had the opportunity to come out and see the merchandising upgrades at the Tennis and Pickleball Shop, with lots of great selections to choose from, including the latest and greatest activewear and racket equipment. Kudos to Director Alejandro Chong and his team for continuing to grow pickleball and hosting a schedule full of special events.

I am always amazed at the Outdoor Pursuits opportunities available to our members. From upgrades to the shooting courses at the Rod and Gun Club, floating the Guadalupe River or fishing at some exotic location, Shane Reynolds and his team are here to guide you. Shane just got back from an amazing trip with some of our members to Costa Rica and there are a few pictures included in this feature.

Thanks to Director of Membership and Lodging Brianna Botine for all she does in helping to create so many memorable events throughout the year! We are always striving to host new events each year and we are looking forward to another great year in 2026!

I hope you continue to enjoy all the amenities the Club has to offer and that we may get to know you and your family in a way that will allow us to serve you best. We wish you the best in the new year!

Living Longer or Living Healthier: Your Lifespan vs. Health Span

At Cordillera Ranch, we often talk about achieving new fitness goals and enjoying a round of golf, tennis or pickleball. These activities and so many others we do are central to a vibrant life here at the Clubs. But how do we measure the success of our health? Do we want to live longer and “survive” our life, or do we want to thrive? Some say we would like quality over quantity; I believe we can have quality in the quantity of years in our lives.

Welcome Letter

It’s Been a Year of Progress and Connection

As the days grow shorter and our community begins to sparkle with holiday lights, I wanted to share a quick note of gratitude and a few friendly reminders as we head into the season. This time of year always seems to bring out the best in people — more get-togethers, more shared meals and more neighborly help when it’s needed most. That spirit is what makes Cordillera Ranch such a special place to call home and, frankly, it’s not solely unique to this time of year.
