Cordillera Ranch claimed victory at the renowned St George’s Cup, one of the UK’s premier international invitational club tournaments. Held at the historic St George’s Hill Golf Club in Surrey, England — a course designed in 1912 by legendary architect Harry Colt — the event draws elite clubs from across the globe.

Each year, only 24 teams are invited to compete, with past participants including Pine Valley Golf Club (ranked #1 in the U.S.) and Royal Melbourne (ranked #1 in Australia). This year’s field featured top-tier clubs from countries such as Japan (Tokyo GC), Australia (Kingston Heath GC), Switzerland, Spain, the UK and the U.S.
Team Cordillera, a fixture in the tournament since its inception, has built a reputation for both competitive excellence and unmatched camaraderie. Affectionately known as the “Tequila Boys,” they’re famous for sharing tequila with their opponents, and showcasing their signature Texas hospitality throughout the event.
The 2025 team featured Richard Martin (team captain), Trey Hallmark, Terrence Miskell and Andrew Tosdevin. On day one, Richard and Andrew posted the lowest net score of the tournament, while Trey and Terrence delivered the second-lowest gross score. The team continued their strong performance in the afternoon’s challenging greensomes format (a modified alternate shot), finishing the day with a narrow lead.
After some late-night strategizing — over tequila, of course — Cordillera came out strong on day two. Andrew and Terrence recorded the tournament’s lowest gross score, while Trey and Richard held steady to secure the win by three shots, lifting the prestigious St George’s Cup trophy.
“We are extremely proud to represent Cordillera Ranch among some of the world’s finest golf clubs,” said team captain Richard Martin. “The addition of Terrence Miskell, who recently qualified for the U.S. Senior Open, really elevated our performance. Playing regularly at Cordillera, with its challenging layout and pristine conditions, truly prepared us well for this event.”
The Team Cordillera Tequila Boys will return to defend their title on July 13–14, 2026.
