Cordillera Ranch luxury living for everyone

There is possibly no finer place to enjoy the majesty and beauty of Cordillera Ranch than on horseback. With miles of trails, and a fully equipped Equestrian Center, Cordillera Ranch is truly a dream for those with the passion for horses.

Several residents have taken that passion and created their own equine facilities that truly are marvels in their own right. This issue we take a look inside a few of these gems, and highlight more of the beauty that makes Cordillera Ranch so unique.

Paula Marsh

Builder: Marsh & Associates, Inc. (design and construction management) in association with Jason Holloway.

Year built:  2007

Specs: The Wyning Edge Friesians Equestrian Center is a 6,000 square foot facility of local limestone and stained cedar.    It includes 13 custom Classic Equine European style stalls, Paula’s Office with stone fireplace, Breeding Lab, Cantina saloon with his and her restrooms, Show and Daily Tack Rooms and wash rack.  Stalls include automatic waterers, fans and electronic heaters.   Adjacent to the barn is a full size dressage arena with viewing deck for watching training lessons and performances.

The Texas Hill Country is one of the most beautiful places in the world to live!  Riding out on our trails is so peaceful and relaxing!  Especially in the early morning as the sun comes up and the fog hangs low over the pastures as our horses graze.  We ride beneath grand oaks with cardinals and blue birds fluttering through the branches and we often come upon white tail and axis deer along the way.  And when it’s cool and crisp and the horses are feeling frisky, we kick it up a notch and ride like the wind over the rolling hills!  There simply aren’t words to describe the joy and freedom you feel in these moments…the moments that truly make life worth living!

Bees and Golf Courses

A long-standing interest of mine has been the benefits of using honey and bee keeping. I have enjoyed honey since I was a child and there are many benefits of having honey in your diet. Honey contains a variety of nutrients, it’s rich in antioxidants and is better for blood sugar levels than regular sugar. Research has shown it to promote heart health, promote burn and wound healing, and help suppress coughing with children.
