Founded in 1998, Garner Homes has been known for delivering custom residences that pair timeless design with the latest building innovations. As a defining presence in Cordillera Ranch for over 20 years, the company is currently breaking ground on its 100th home within the community, reflecting both longevity and local trust. With a model home and office located inside Cordillera Ranch, the Garner team remains closely connected to the land and the people who call it home.
“We combine creative design with proven building science to deliver beautiful homes and an exceptional experience from design through post-construction,” said Trey Garner, Owner and Builder of Garner Homes. “Because a truly great home is defined by unwavering quality, thoughtful design and obsessive attention to detail from foundation to finish.”
That philosophy is evident throughout Garner’s newest 6,282-square-foot custom residence, which includes an additional 2,237 square feet of outdoor living space. Positioned on a hilltop site, the home was designed to maximize Hill Country views while maintaining privacy and a relaxing feel. Clean architectural lines are softened by warm, natural materials, resulting in what Garner describes as “a serene modern luxury estate.”
The homeowners envisioned a place where the family could gather for holidays and special occasions, while still allowing each person their own private retreat. Entertaining and indoor-outdoor living shaped a layout that balances openness with thoughtful separation. The primary suite occupies its own wing, while guest spaces sit opposite and shared living areas connect the two.
From its carefully planned layout to its layered natural materials, this Cordillera Ranch residence reflects Garner Homes’ commitment to creating spaces that are both beautiful and livable. “We hope people feel an immediate sense of calm and connection when they walk through,” Garner said. “More than anything, we want them to feel this is a place designed not just to impress, but to truly live in.”
Outdoor Living Spaces
Outdoor living defines the home, with more than 2,200 square feet of covered patios, terraces and balconies to take in the views. The exterior blends white rough and block-cut limestone with smooth stucco, paired with a black metal roof and window package. Guests are greeted by a front dining terrace that features a 42-inch masonry fireplace behind a low courtyard wall.
At the rear, covered patios offer lounging, dining, and cooking areas beneath a wood-clad ceiling. A kitchen pass-through window enhances entertaining flow and keeps the drinks flowing as well. Guests can take a dip in the infinity-edge pool, complete with a tanning ledge, spa and fire elements, venture to the lower-level fire pit for a more intimate gathering space or practice their golf swing on the putting green.
Kitchen
The kitchen combines modern functionality with refined materials. Walnut and cashmere acrylic cabinetry is paired with Pegasus quartzite countertops that waterfall down the island. The quartzite continues up the range wall, framing the reeded vent hood and floating shelves with integrated LED lighting. Sub-Zero® and Wolf® appliances support daily cooking and entertaining, while Visual Comfort Osiris sconces add sculptural lighting. A large island with seating for five reinforces the kitchen’s role as the home’s gathering hub.
Great Room & Dining
The great room features 22-foot ceilings with wood beams and a 60-inch fireplace clad in Porcelanosa Dover Modern Line Caliza tile. A custom copper mantel by World Coppersmith and walnut floating shelves with LED lighting complete the feature wall.
The dining area opens to the front patio and is defined by a recessed ceiling detail with a modern chandelier. A wet bar with black finishes and a wine display anchors the back wall, making it even easier to entertain.
Game Room
The game room features a cove ceiling treatment with integrated LED lights that cascade down into white oak wall paneling, creating a dynamic, modern look. A wet bar with leathered marble countertops anchors the space, while a 16-foot sliding window and door system opens the home to the surrounding landscape and outdoor entertaining features.
Office
The upper-level office captures Hill Country views and opens to a private balcony. Rift-sawn white oak cabinetry, Provena Tresor flooring and a custom shelving unit balance function and design.
Primary Bedroom
The primary bedroom is finished with Provena Tresor Collection white oak flooring in wide planks. Plaster-finished walls in modern gray are paired with a cloud ceiling and perimeter cove lighting. A 36-inch Isokern vent-free masonry fireplace with Calacatta Cameo marble surround adds warmth, while expansive windows frame valley views. A modern chandelier completes the space.
Primary Bathroom
The primary bathroom features rift-sawn white oak cabinetry and honed Cinderella quartzite countertops. Lime plaster walls create a soft backdrop, and a Thassos marble and Namaste mosaic tile feature wall highlights a freestanding tub. Large-format 24×48 Ergon Stonewalk tile lines the floors and shower walls for a clean, modern feel.
