Welcome

I always appreciate the features in our CR Living magazine — hearing why folks chose Cordillera Ranch, what drew them here and what they’ve discovered they enjoy about the Clubs and Hill Country since becoming residents.

While I was reading the feature in this issue about Jeff and Amye Johnson, mouthwatering and envious of Jeff’s steaks (more on that in a minute), I was struck by a quote from Jeff — “If you build it, they will come.” We all recognize that quote from Field of Dreams, but for a lot of Cordillera Ranch homeowners, the Clubs and community represent a beacon to call friends and family back home, with endless activities unique to our neck-of-the-woods and settings sure to be remembered for a lifetime.

As Amye said, family is certainly an important part of their lives — a sentiment that I’m sure is the case for everyone at Cordillera Ranch.

Finally, I would NEVER solicit for, and/or invite myself to dinner, but Jeff and Amye, please go ahead and pencil me in for the next time steaks hit the grill because I’m going to make an exception here and formally extend my acceptance to come over for dinner at your convenience. Thanks in advance!

Living Longer or Living Healthier: Your Lifespan vs. Health Span

Do we want to live longer and “survive” our life, or do we want to thrive? Some say we would like quality over quantity; I believe we can have quality in the quantity of years in our lives.

Welcome Letter

It’s Been a Year of Progress and Connection

As the days grow shorter and our community begins to sparkle with holiday lights, I wanted to share a quick note of gratitude and a few friendly reminders as we head into the season. This time of year always seems to bring out the best in people — more get-togethers, more shared meals and more neighborly help when it’s needed most. That spirit is what makes Cordillera Ranch such a special place to call home and, frankly, it’s not solely unique to this time of year.
