Welcome

The beginning of a new year seems to bring a time of reflection and a look forward at what’s to come. Reflection gives us a chance to learn, remember and perhaps measure our own expectations of the year prior. Many of us will have resolutions and goals, some of which are met and some of which, well we’ll just say, are postponed to a later date!

The past 12 months have seen a lot of new in Cordillera Ranch. For the first time in years, we were able to bring new homesites to market in both Clubs Village and along the Guadalupe River in The Springs. Also making its debut in 2023 was the new gated enclave of Hawk Canyon near the Highway 46 main entrance that features Hill Country views for miles. More than 100 new homes are in some stage of construction or architectural review, and an additional 100-plus new families decided to become a part of Cordillera Ranch over the past year with the purchase of real estate. It was certainly a year to remember, and one we can all be thankful for.

As we look forward, 2024 promises to bring even more new, most notably with the upcoming addition of the Pool Cabana. I’m certain there will be many more milestones, new families to welcome and friendships that will be made.

So, so long 2023! You were great and we won’t forget you. And 2024, you already look interesting, and we can’t wait to see what you have in store for us.

CHEERS!

Challenges. Opportunities. Moving Forward.

Fall has been a busy season for the Agronomy team. This important season kicks off after all the fun of the Ladies’ Ranch Roundup, when we begin our greens aerification process. At the conclusion of this process in October, we have now seen the extraordinary benefit of the deep vertical slicing (Graden device) coupled with the normal aerification of punching holes and backfilling with sand.

Bees and Golf Courses

A long-standing interest of mine has been the benefits of using honey and bee keeping. I have enjoyed honey since I was a child and there are many benefits of having honey in your diet. Honey contains a variety of nutrients, it’s rich in antioxidants and is better for blood sugar levels than regular sugar. Research has shown it to promote heart health, promote burn and wound healing, and help suppress coughing with children.

Amanda Naranjo

Ever since I can remember, I’ve been around the game of golf. From watching golf tournaments on TV with my family to going out to the driving range with my dad during my High School years while on the Golf Team, everything I associate with golf has been positive. I decided to attend the University of the Incarnate Word and major in Fashion Merchandising with a concentration in Business. Fusing both my passion for fashion and love for the game of golf, the golf merchandising path was the perfect path for me.
