Recognizing the growing need for accessible urgent care, the clinic expanded their services by opening a second location in Bergheim in June 2024. The newest location of My Urgent Care Clinic-Bergheim is located on FM 3351 at Hwy 46, just behind the Valero and between Bergheim Pizza and Scooter’s Coffee. This location is conveniently located near Cordillera Ranch and serves the east side of Boerne, north side of Fair Oaks and surrounding communities.

 At the heart of My Urgent Care Clinic is John Turner, MD, who not only owns the practice but is also deeply committed to being an active part of the community.  Dr. Turner’s journey in medicine shaped his vision for providing high-quality, affordable urgent care. Beginning his career in family medicine, he built strong relationships with patients and understood the importance of accessible, preventive care. However, his transition to the emergency room revealed a growing issue — many patients seeking treatment for non-life-threatening conditions faced high medical costs. He wanted to create a space where patients could receive timely, efficient and cost-effective care without the burden of an expensive ER visit. This realization led to the founding of My Urgent Care Clinic, offering a practical solution for those who need immediate attention but don’t require emergency intervention. Dr. Turner’s experience across both primary and emergency care settings continues to shape the clinic’s mission — bridging the gap between PCPs and ERs while ensuring patients receive the right level of care at the right time.

My Urgent Care Clinics provide extended hours, including evenings and weekends, and remain open every holiday — ensuring patients have access to quality healthcare when their primary care provider is unavailable. The Bergheim location is staffed by experienced providers with a combined 30 years in urgent care. Their extensive knowledge is matched only by their dedication and compassion for each patient they treat. Additionally, the providers live in this area and are part of the local community. Dr. Turner also ensures a strong clinical presence by personally seeing patients in both clinics.

With a shortage of PCPs, the clinics help by offering medication refills and treatment for minor illnesses and injuries until patients can secure an appointment with their doctor — especially for those who are new to the Boerne area. Understanding that quality healthcare should be both efficient and personable, the team treats any and all urgent care needs from ear infections and rashes to abdominal pain, acute fractures and lacerations.

Through sponsorships, local nonprofit support and participation in community events, Dr. Turner and his team strive to make a meaningful impact beyond medical care. Deeply committed to supporting the community through various initiatives, they proudly sponsor The Center and the Chamber, contributing to their galas and golf tournaments. Additionally, the team participates in events like Lemonade Days (hosted by the Chamber) and Health Fairs (organized by The Center), and community involvement extends to sponsoring Golf Tournaments for the Boerne Police Foundation and Hill Country Family Services as well as being the medical sponsor for the Boerne YMCA Turkey Trot.  My Urgent Care locations also serve as a collection site for local initiatives such as Love Kendall County Kids (school supply donations) and Silver Santa (Christmas gift donations for homebound seniors).
