What is your background and how will that be an asset to Cordillera Ranch?

My background is mostly in communications, branding and client-facing roles. Before this, I worked in corporate banking where I planned events, created a lot of branded materials, and worked closely with different teams and senior leaders. I also ran my own freelance design business and co-founded a small startup, so I’ve done a bit of everything — from building brands to handling partnerships and just figuring things out as I go.

I think what helps me here is that I’m used to wearing multiple hats and staying organized when things get busy. I’m comfortable talking to people, keeping projects moving, and making sure the details are right. At Cordillera, I get to use those same skills in a more personal, relationship-focused way, which I really like.

What do you like most about working at Cordillera Ranch so far?

I really like how personal it feels. A lot of my previous jobs were in bigger corporate settings, so it’s nice to be somewhere that still feels community-oriented. I enjoy getting to meet people who are excited about the Ranch and helping make their experience a good one.

My favorite part is probably the variety. Some days I’m helping with marketing or social media, other days I’m greeting people at the Visitors Center or coordinating something for the sales team. It keeps things interesting, and I like that I get to be involved in different parts of what makes Cordillera special.

What has been your greatest professional challenge?

Learning how to manage a lot of moving parts without dropping the ball — or burning myself out. At my previous job, I was juggling big events, design work and communications all at once. I had to get really good at prioritizing, staying organized, and knowing when to ask for help. It taught me a lot about balance and trusting other people to carry some of the load.

What motivates you to succeed?

I’m motivated by wanting to build a good life for my family and be someone my child can look up to. I like knowing that the work I do helps create stability and opportunities for the people I love most. At the same time, I’m also motivated by seeing something actually come together and make a difference for someone else. Whether it’s helping a client feel taken care of, creating something that looks good and works well, or just knowing I made someone’s day a little smoother — that’s what keeps me going. I like feeling useful and knowing the work I put in matters.

What has been your favorite age so far, and why?

My favorite age so far has to be right now. I’m in this really full chapter where I get to be a mom, start a new job I’m excited about, and build a life in a place we love. It’s not always easy balancing everything, but it feels meaningful. I like who I’m becoming and how everything is coming together — the little everyday moments with my family, new adventures and the sense that we’re exactly where we’re supposed to be.

What do you do in your free time?

I spend most of my free time getting out with my family and our dogs. We like going on family walks, and I really enjoy slowing down to soak in those little moments with them. I’m a big TCU fan (and alum!), so I love catching football games when I can. When I get the chance, I like going skiing in the mountains or heading to the river. I’m also always up for bigger adventures — I love to travel and see the world. Some of my favorite trips so far have been the Catalina Wine Mixer on Catalina Island and the Christmas markets in Germany, France and Switzerland. I like trying new things and keeping life interesting. 

If you could time travel, where would you go?

If I could time travel, I think I’d go back to simpler times — either a random summer as a kid in Amarillo or my college years at TCU. I wouldn’t change anything, but there’s something really special about being able to look back with the perspective I have now. I’m so grateful for how everything has unfolded and led me to where I am today. It’s funny how life always seems to work out, even when you can’t see it in the moment.

Who is your hero/mentor, and why?

My mom has always been a big hero of mine. She’s incredibly strong and has this quiet way of showing up for people without making a big deal about it. I’ve learned a lot from watching how she handles things with grace and humor. She has taught me how to lead with both confidence and kindness. Now that I’m a mom myself, I have a whole new appreciation for everything she did — and still does. It’s made me want to carry forward that same steady, loving presence with my own child.

If you could only eat one type of cuisine for the rest of your life, what would it be?

I don’t really have one single favorite cuisine because I love trying new foods. I’m the “I’ll try anything once” person, especially when I’m traveling. That said, if I had to pick just one type of place for the rest of my life, I’d go with Chick-fil-A. I know it sounds simple, but there’s something about a good chicken sandwich and waffle fries that never gets old!
