& Odette Wine Dinner
Time: 6:30 to 9:30pm
Location: Cabana Dining Room
Join us for an intimate dinner featuring wines from the PlumpJack, CADE and Odette Estate Wineries. Executive Chef Isaac Cantu and his culinary team will craft a custom menu to pair with these remarkable wines. Advance reservations are required through the Club receptionist.

Location: Group Exercise Room
Kids, bring your favorite blanket or pillow and join us for a fun movie night! We will have pizza and popcorn movie packs with all the best toppings while we watch the Thanksgiving-themed movie “Free Birds.” Reservations are required. Contact Kelsey Grudle at 830.336.9172.

This event will showcase over 40 wines, from Bubbles and Big Reds, to taste before purchasing for the holiday season. Advance reservations are required through the Club receptionist.

Time: Seating available every 30 minutes, 11:00am to 1:30pm

In honor of Thanksgiving, we will be hosting a holiday-themed feast with live music from Bernie Martini. Advance reservations are required through the Club receptionist and a 48-hour cancellation policy is in effect.

November 29  ::  Turkey Trot & Stuffing Stroll
Time: 9:30 to 9:50am Registration / 10:00am Run or Walk
Location: Meet in front of Golf Shop
The “Turkey Trot” is a fun 5k run through the Golf Village totaling 3.2 miles. Or take a 1.5-mile “Stuffing Stroll.” Breakfast tacos, fruit and assorted pastries will be available upon completion. All ages are welcome, including pets and strollers! Contact Kelsey Grudle at 830.336.9172.

Come out and help us celebrate the annual lighting of the Christmas Tree and Clubhouse! There will be drink specials and member dining while enjoying entertainment by Bernie Martini.

Time: 5:00 to 8:00pm
The popular “Discount Wheel of Fortune” makes it return. Special discounts ranging from 10% to 40% on all merchandise are available by spinning the wheel!

December 7  ::  Gingerbread House Decorating Party
Time: 10:00am
Location: Cabana Dining Room
Join us for this annual holiday family activity! We provide everything: assembled gingerbread houses, icing and candies to decorate and, best of all, we will take care of the cleanup! Advance reservations are required. Contact Kelsey Grudle at 830.336.9172.

December 14  ::  Breakfast with Santa
Times: 9:00am seating and 11:00am seating
Location: Main Clubhouse
Picture Fee: $15 for first photo; $5 for each additional
Join us for a jolly good time as we host breakfast with Santa and entertainment by Peter Gloria. Be sure to dress in your Christmas best to have your pictures taken while you tell Santa what is on your wish list. Children will also enjoy making a reindeer food craft and coloring sheets! Advance reservations are required through the Club receptionist.

Fall has been a busy season for the Agronomy team. This important season kicks off after all the fun of the Ladies’ Ranch Roundup, when we begin our greens aerification process. At the conclusion of this process in October, we have now seen the extraordinary benefit of the deep vertical slicing (Graden device) coupled with the normal aerification of punching holes and backfilling with sand.

A long-standing interest of mine has been the benefits of using honey and bee keeping. I have enjoyed honey since I was a child and there are many benefits of having honey in your diet. Honey contains a variety of nutrients, it’s rich in antioxidants and is better for blood sugar levels than regular sugar. Research has shown it to promote heart health, promote burn and wound healing, and help suppress coughing with children.

Ever since I can remember, I’ve been around the game of golf. From watching golf tournaments on TV with my family to going out to the driving range with my dad during my High School years while on the Golf Team, everything I associate with golf has been positive. I decided to attend the University of the Incarnate Word and major in Fashion Merchandising with a concentration in Business. Fusing both my passion for fashion and love for the game of golf, the golf merchandising path was the perfect path for me.
