The Crafted Dinner Experience

Executive Chef Isaac Cantu and Wine Specialist Jeffrey Cohen have created special wine dinners where you design your own personal dining experience from prix fixe menu selections complemented with wine pairings. Reservations are required.

The Wine Extravaganza
Formerly Bubbles and Big Reds Tasting, this event will feature 48 wines, Reds and Bubbles, to taste before purchasing.

March 13-15
Spring Break Junior Golf Clinic
Time: 9:00 to 11:00am, Golf Instruction
11:00am to 12:00pm, Lunch
Fee: $150 (Includes instruction and lunch per day)
Guests of a Member may attend on a space available basis for an additional fee.

Melka Estates Wine Dinner
Time: 6:30 to 9:30pm Location: Cabana Dining Room
Join us for a wonderful evening as we welcome Cherie Melka, Co-founder, CEO, CFO of Melka Estates. Philippe and Cherie Melka produce four distinct labels that reflect their philosophy of soil driven wines: Metisse from Napa Valley, Mekerra from Sonoma Valley, Majestique from around the world and CJ, also from Napa Valley. Executive Chef Isaac Cantu has crafted a custom menu to pair with these remarkable wines! There is a 48-hour cancellation policy and reservations are limited to the first 40 people.

From Land to Sea Prix Fixe Dinner
Join us for a Surf and Turf prix fixe coursed dinner in the dining room. Enjoy a glass of wine or a cocktail while listening to live music. Dinner reservations required, and seating is between 5:00 and 8:00pm.

12th Annual Cordillera Cup
Format: Ryder Cup Format (Four-Ball, Foursome and Singles)
Entry Fee: $175 (Includes food, tee-gifts and bragging rights)
Friday Night Pairings Party: 5:00 to 6:30pm

Easter Eggstravaganza
Time: 10:30am to 1:30pm
Come out to the Equestrian Center for a fun and “egg”-stravagant afternoon of Easter fun! There will be an egg hunt, games, horses, a visit from the Easter Bunny, unique photo opportunities, an afternoon lunch and more! Reservations are required.

Spring is in the air and Easter Brunch is on the menu. We’ve gathered some of the tastiest options for your special Sunday, with entertainment by Bernie Martini! Kids will enjoy a special appearance by the Easter Bunny and adults can sip a mimosa or two. This is sure to be a brunch you won’t want to miss! Reservations are required.

Class Event – Pinot and Pearls

Ladies, come enjoy a night out while shopping and dining with the world’s largest pearl distributor! Reservations are required.

Blockbuster Demo Day
Time: 9:00am to 3:00pm
Come and try the hottest and best golf equipment available in the industry! Companies represented include Taylor Made, Callaway, Titleist, Ping, Cleveland, PXG, Bridgestone, Cobra and more. Special discounts apply to all merchandise purchased that day. We are also offering you a chance to do some serious “spring cleaning.” A representative will be on hand with specific trade-in values for your old equipment. This is a great way to try new products, get fit properly, purchase equipment at a great price and trade-in your old clubs.

April 10-11
Texas Towne Matches
Inter-Club matches are to be held at Bluejack National and Miramont. Cordillera Ranch members will be competing against members from some of the finest clubs in the Southwest. The team is made up of the top finishers in the MGA Cup Points race that ended in October of last year. Contact the Golf Shop for more information.

Amenity Reservations on the Ranch

Cordillera Ranch offers a variety of amenities for property owners and the new POA website allows online reservations for those amenities. To place a reservation request, simply log into the Cordillera Ranch POA website at www.cordilleraranchpoa.com, use the drop down on the For Residents tab and select Reservations, which lists the multiple amenities available. Property owners will then need to select which amenity they wish to reserve, and fill out the online form. The completed form is sent to the POA to review, at which time the POA will approve or deny the request. Once a decision has been made by the POA, the property owner is notified.

Where Do You Spend Your Time?

I recently read a story retold by the father of a young family of three that included himself, his wife and their young daughter. According to his recounting, after dinner they were each challenged to share an object symbolic of how they would describe one another to a stranger. When it was the daughter’s turn to share the item she thought to be representative of her father, she produced a cell phone. At her young age, she wasn’t taking a sarcastic “shot” at her dad, rather, it was how she truly saw him when he was home.
