Mr. Lee Ellis, Leading with Honor

We are excited and honored to welcome author Lee Ellis to Cordillera Ranch for a Veterans Day Dinner with Club members on Thursday, November 11.

Mr. Ellis, a former Air Force pilot and POW, is the author of Leading with Honor: Leadership Lessons from the Hanoi Hilton, in which he details the lessons he learned during his sixty-four months of captivity in North Vietnam during the Vietnam War. Citing the exemplary leaders he served under who inspired courage through the most horrific circumstances, he relates his experiences to the principles of leadership that we can all apply to our everyday lives. In his book, he states, “In the Hanoi Hilton I learned that leading with honor is about doing the right thing, even when it entails personal sacrifice.”

This is a special opportunity for our members to listen to one of the great heroes of our country who is now a corporate consultant for leaders of Fortune 500 companies, healthcare executives, small business owners and entrepreneurs.

Thank you in advance to Bill Lee, Cordillera Ranch member, for introducing Mr. Ellis to us and providing the opportunity for him to speak at our upcoming dinner.

“Leading with Honor® is a consulting, training, coaching, and speaking company specializing in developing authentic leaders, high performance teams, and strong cultures that thrive in change. We work with organizations (domestic and international) of all sizes in multiple industries offering our expertise. Our founder, Lee Ellis has written four books on leadership and speaks worldwide on the leadership lessons learned in the Hanoi Hilton POW Camp. “

Bird watching can be a joyful experience. The sounds of birds frolicking outside your Cordillera Ranch home can be a great addition to your garden and landscape. Bird feeders are the quickest and easiest way to attract our winged friends to your yard. If you have ever visited the Outfitter Center at Cordillera Ranch, you’ll have no doubt about how much I enjoy feeding birds and having them around the entire year.

Manager's Message

Wow, what a time of year!

Spring never disappoints, with warmer weather, longer days and prettier everything, it’s easy to feel a sense of rejuvenation and rebirth during these splendid months. While we’re only a handful of months into the year, and there’s a feeling of a fresh start, it also feels as though some things are coming to conclusion.

Play-A-Hole #7

The 7th hole at Cordillera Ranch is our second Par-3 that you will encounter and can look pretty daunting from the tee. The green slopes away from you and to the right while being guarded by a large bunker on the front/right side and a couple of bunkers on the left side. In case you thought long was safe … it’s not — there’s another bunker there, too!
