Authentic Custom Homes built this custom wine cellar to store & showcase a world-class wine collection. We designed a wine cellar with custom Alder wood wine racking system to store over 1,500 bottles of wine, hand-painted faux finished ceilings, limestone walls, nook storage for cases of wine, and a fully ducted High Static Wine Cellar cooling system.

Forged irons, stone, and hardwoods were assembled to produce this beautiful Cordillera Ranch residence Wine Cellar and Wine Tasting Room. Climate control, moisture proofing and specialty storage & display cabinetry for approximately 2,000 bottles was performed by Vito Alvillar. The Lueders limestone walls, barreled stone ceiling, custom fabricated hand-forged light fixtures, and reclaimed long leaf pine flooring of the adjacent Tasting Room transform what would be a wine storage function into a collector’s experience.

Oenophilia – (Greek for love (philia) of wine (oinos)) is a love of wine, and in the strictest sense, Oenophilia describes a disciplined devotion to wine. In a general sense however, Oenophilia simply refers to the enjoyment of wine, often by laymen. This luxurious, temperature-controlled wine room combines the relaxed atmosphere of Cordillera Ranch’s elite, yet relaxed, lifestyle with the all the accoutrements requested by a true wine aficionado. Boasting a tasting center, and storage for over 1000 wine bottles, the spiced wine racks and brick paver floor create a space where the best vintages can not only be stored, they can be truly appreciated as works of art.

The Newton’s Wine Room is both a classy display room as well as a fully functioning wine cellar. It has custom made oak cabinetry and demonstrates a wide variety of wine storage techniques.
As is the case in many wine cellars; the refrigeration is the key. Of major importance to most wine Connisseurs is the ability to regulate the amount of humidity in the space. The Newton’s Wine Room is tastefully located behind a full-service Bar and is the hub of the action when they are entertaining.
