A week off from school with a fun camp at the Ranch? Yes, please!

Spring Break Camps will be held Tuesday, March 12 through Friday, March 15, 2024. These camps not only provide a small preview of the camps happening in the summertime, but also give the kids a great experience on the Ranch. Our camps welcome all skill levels whether the kids excel in a certain activity or want to learn more!

We have something for every kid to enjoy, from tennis, golf and outdoor games to art or indoor tabletop games. Plus, we provide lunch, water and snacks throughout the day to make sure everyone has energy and is well-hydrated! Our camp leaders not only strive to make it a fun week for the kids, but we also help them learn new skills, make friends, work on their social adaptations, and see parts of the Ranch that they might not have seen before.

Keep any eye out on further communications for times and camp additions!

PRINICPLES OF PATHFINDER CAMP

This camp is all about using the power of your imagination through a team-oriented tabletop game! Join this story-based camp as we go on imaginary adventures and use our minds to create a world of exploration. We will challenge the kids by using communication skills, problem solving and arithmetic.

CORDILLERA RANCH JUNIOR GOLF CAMP

The Cordillera Ranch Junior Golf Camp consists of instruction on all aspects of the game, various team and individual challenges, on-course play and swimming. This camp is perfect for beginner and intermediate golfers, and is taught by the Cordillera Ranch Professional staff. Lunch is included and clubs will be provided if needed.

ALL-STAR SPORTS CAMP

All-Star Sports Camp is an endless collection of sports and activities that challenge kids and help to develop confidence, hand-eye coordination and large motor skills while having fun in the great outdoors! This sports camp will include dodgeball, soccer, tennis, pickleball, basketball and other playground/backyard sports so there is something for every kid to enjoy.

LIL’ RANCHERS GOLF CAMP

This Lil’ Ranchers Golf Camp consists of golf instruction for beginner players that are new to the game of golf. Your little golfer will learn the beginning steps on how to play the game, and participate in various team and individual challenges and course practice taught by the Cordillera Ranch Professional Golf Staff. Clubs will be provided if needed.

ART CAMP

This art camp is for those girls and boys who love art or want to learn more about it! Kids will be painting, tie-dying, crafting and more, while learning unique art techniques and making masterpieces. All materials and snacks are provided. We recommend they wear clothes that can get messy!

Registration begins in late January through ClubsofCordilleraRanch.com.

Challenges. Opportunities. Moving Forward.

Fall has been a busy season for the Agronomy team. This important season kicks off after all the fun of the Ladies’ Ranch Roundup, when we begin our greens aerification process. At the conclusion of this process in October, we have now seen the extraordinary benefit of the deep vertical slicing (Graden device) coupled with the normal aerification of punching holes and backfilling with sand.

Bees and Golf Courses

A long-standing interest of mine has been the benefits of using honey and bee keeping. I have enjoyed honey since I was a child and there are many benefits of having honey in your diet. Honey contains a variety of nutrients, it’s rich in antioxidants and is better for blood sugar levels than regular sugar. Research has shown it to promote heart health, promote burn and wound healing, and help suppress coughing with children.

Amanda Naranjo

Ever since I can remember, I’ve been around the game of golf. From watching golf tournaments on TV with my family to going out to the driving range with my dad during my High School years while on the Golf Team, everything I associate with golf has been positive. I decided to attend the University of the Incarnate Word and major in Fashion Merchandising with a concentration in Business. Fusing both my passion for fashion and love for the game of golf, the golf merchandising path was the perfect path for me.
