Mowing Smarter, Not Harder: Cordillera Ranch Rolls Out AMP Firefly Autonomous Mowers

Where cutting-edge technology meets cutting fairways

At The Clubs of Cordillera Ranch, innovation isn’t just a buzzword — it’s how we keep our standards high, our turf pristine and our team ahead of the curve. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce the arrival of our newest team members: the AMP Firefly all-electric autonomous fairway mowers.

These state-of-the-art machines do more than just cut grass — they redefine what efficiency looks like on the golf course. With GPS-guided precision and the quiet confidence of a Tesla on turf, the Firefly mowers handle fairways with exceptional consistency and none of the noise (or coffee breaks). Even better, while the mower does its thing, a single team member can complete several other jobs — raking bunkers, checking irrigation, or setting pins — basically being in two places at once, without breaking a sweat.

It’s not just about multitasking. The Firefly mowers are fully electric, meaning they glide silently across the fairways without leaving a trail of fumes. Our equipment technicians are also more efficient as they no longer have to service diesel engines and hydraulics! These mowers align perfectly with our long-term sustainability goals while showing that we’re serious about embracing the latest in turf care tech — without losing sight of tradition.

Sure, the mower might not laugh at our bad jokes or help carry sod, but it’s a valuable teammate nonetheless. We see it as another way Cordillera Ranch blends innovation with excellence, giving our members a course that’s as forward-thinking as it is beautifully maintained.

Life is Better Out Here —Especially when the fairways practically mow themselves.

Living Longer or Living Healthier: Your Lifespan vs. Health Span

At Cordillera Ranch, we often talk about achieving new fitness goals and enjoying a round of golf, tennis or pickleball. These activities and so many others we do are central to a vibrant life here at the Clubs. But how do we measure the success of our health? Do we want to live longer and “survive” our life, or do we want to thrive? Some say we would like quality over quantity; I believe we can have quality in the quantity of years in our lives.

Welcome Letter

It’s Been a Year of Progress and Connection

As the days grow shorter and our community begins to sparkle with holiday lights, I wanted to share a quick note of gratitude and a few friendly reminders as we head into the season. This time of year always seems to bring out the best in people — more get-togethers, more shared meals and more neighborly help when it’s needed most. That spirit is what makes Cordillera Ranch such a special place to call home and, frankly, it’s not solely unique to this time of year.
