Local Gymnasts Receive Top Honors

Samantha Sherwood and Thalia Berry, both Cordillera Ranch residents, were recently selected for the USA National Acrobatic Gymnastics team. In addition, Samantha and Thalia won the silver medal in the Women’s Pair Level 8 event at the 2012 U.S. National Acrobatic Gymnastics Championships held in Detroit, Michigan.

The pair will be representing the U.S. in an upcoming international competition in Frankfurt, Germany, and later this year, they will spend a week at the famous Bela Karolyi National Training Center for Women’s Gymnastics, training with the National Team.

Samantha and Thalia are coached by Rumen and Radostina Latchkov of Boerne Gymnastics Center.
