With roots in the development and building industry, Chris Hill, President and CEO of Meritum Energy Holdings, entered the propane, fuel and lubricant distribution business in 2010 and has compiled an extensive network of operations that service both residential and commercial markets. Operating as Pico Propane and Fuels in the southern U.S., their territory covers everything south of IH-10 from Albuquerque, New Mexico to Beaumont, Texas. “In addition to Pico, Meritum has operations along the east coast from New England to Florida. On October 14, the new Pico Propane and Fuels showroom opens to fulfill that need. The showroom will feature residential gas appliances and products but will also have access to extensive distributor relationships for commercial applications.

For the Design-Build community, Hill says, “This will be a welcoming place for builders, remodelers and homeowners to view and select products, as well as access a full range of catalogues and specifications from our premier vendor network that will support designers, architects and builders.” Their experienced sales team as well as their service and install team will also be able to help guide customers through the entire process.

For indoor applications, there are gas fireplaces, gas inserts and fireplace log sets from American-made manufacturers like Grand Canyon Gas Logs, Fireplace Xtrordinair^® and DaVinci Custom Fireplaces. Outside, fire pits, fire bowls, masonry fireplaces and pizza ovens can be expertly installed.

Outdoor kitchens are now the norm in 76 percent of new construction, according to the National Kitchen & Bath Association.
