Since development started at Cordillera Ranch there have been over 1,100 lots developed in 41 different sections covering nearly 5,000 acres. There are currently over 600 homes in Cordillera Ranch and with the continued growth comes additional challenges in managing the association. In evaluating the P.O.A. administrative needs in 2012, it became clear that the P.O.A. could benefit from a different management structure that includes an outside management firm bringing in additional resources. With that, Associa ProComm was hired late last year to manage the P.O.A. The new on-site administrator (an employee of ProComm) is Cathy Williams (she replaced the position Valerie Shaw previously held). Cathy has been a great asset for the Cordillera Ranch P.O.A. thus far and has been busy tackling a number of projects and improving some of the processes, procedures and organization of the P.O.A. Below is Cathy’s bio and an introduction to Associa ProComm:
I am originally from Michigan and moved to Texas in 1972 where I have made my home. I am the grandmother of four – 1 granddaughter and 3 grandsons. I enjoy fishing and car racing in my spare time.
Initially, my career started as an association manager for a developer of high-end subdivisions. After three years of employment with this developer my interest in association management grew. I joined Associa ProComm in 2000 to further my career and knowledge in the association management industry. In addition to ongoing internal training, Associa ProComm strongly supports all managers in continuing our education and pays for us to attend classes so that we can become the top in our industry. Through this support I have been able to achieve all of the professional designations available to a Community Association Manager. These designations include: Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM), the top designation in our industry; Association Management Specialist (AMS), awarded by Community Associations Institute; and Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA), awarded by the National Board of Certification for Community Association Managers (NBC-CAM).
