Los Sueños Resort in Costa Rica

A Cordillera Ranch Signature Vacation
October 1-6, 2022

The Perfect Vacation

Join our club staff as we visit beautiful Costa Rica and the Los Sueños Resort and Marina. Costa Rica is really a wonderful vacation destination. It has one of the oldest and most stable democracies in the Americas; it is relatively close to the U.S.; the beaches are clean and uncrowded; the population is happy and friendly; and the scenery is stunning and unforgettable.

If you’re looking for a great fall vacation getaway, Costa Rica is the perfect choice. With ideal accommodations, adventure experiences and relaxation, what more could you ask for?

“Pura Vida,” The Good Life

Costa Rica is not only rich in biodiversity, it’s rich in culture and happiness. According to the Happy Planet Index, Costa Rica is the greenest and happiest country in the entire world, by a substantial lead.

There is a saying in Costa Rica: “Pura Vida.” It means “the pure life” or “the good life.” You can say it as a greeting or as a response to, “How are you?” It sums up just about everything you need to know about the Costa Rican people and the country in general.

Los Sueños Resort and Marina is a hotspot for both inshore and offshore fishing. Costa Rica’s waters literally teem with big game: dorado averaging 40 pounds, yellowfin tuna that push the 300-pound mark and one of the largest concentrations of big Pacific sailfish found anywhere. In fact, Costa Rica boasts one of the healthiest billfish fisheries in the world, with 20-fish days being a common occurrence. Unusually calm waters and short rides to the fishing grounds cement the country’s place at the top of the big game fishing destinations.

Those in search of an unforgettable sport fishing experience need to look no further than Los Sueños Marina, home to an extensive charter fleet certified by the Costa Rican Ministry of Tourism. It is not just the offshore fishing that is good in this area — the inshore fishing offers a great opportunity for 50-pound+ roosterfish and 40-pound+ dorado. You can try your hand at catching these on a fly rod as well as regular spinning rods. This area is one of the most consistent fishing grounds year-round and therefore attracts some of the world’s most passionate anglers.

For golfers, the resort’s La Iguana Golf Course features 18 championship holes with a 73.4 course rating, par-72 and slope 145. Playing the exotic 6,698-yard Ted Robinson-designed golf course in Costa Rica would be any golfer’s dream. The naturally challenging layout will please players of all skill levels. The golf course is richly landscaped to include exotic native plants, banana trees, orchids, monkeys and more than 150 species of birds and local wildlife.

This exclusive Cordillera Ranch Signature Vacation is planned for our members and their guests, with a minimum of eight participants and a maximum of 12.
