As the longest standing Preferred Builder at Cordillera Ranch, Stadler Custom Homes has always been known for luxury design and customer satisfaction. Their exciting new venture — Lifestyle by Stadler — brings a streamlined simplicity to custom home building without sacrificing quality or luxury.
“Lifestyle by Stadler provides a superior building experience for our homeowners,” says Ray Stadler, who founded Stadler Custom Homes in 1995. “We find that most people like to have a road map to follow from the beginning, with processes and procedures in place that they can rely on throughout the progression of designing and building their dream home.”
Vice president of sales Dean Smith elaborates on the road map concept, explaining that the “no surprises” aspect is a popular feature of the new brand. “Custom home building can be a very challenging and cumbersome process,” he explains. “Lifestyle by Stadler simplifies the process using an initial planning and design phase by meeting with the homeowner to set pricing up front and make all selections prior to frame.” In this phase, clients can completely customize their home or study our selection of floor plans for inspiration. “Clients really like it and it’s working very well,” he adds.
With a finished custom home price point of between $500,000 and $1.75 million, he says, this method works well to save both time and money. “Every time we have to wait for a decision it brings construction to a stop and then we have to kick it back up again.” Smith stresses that the Lifestyle by Stadler process allows changes to design and selection, but “we try to minimize changes during the building process by getting everything decided in the early stages to make it as simple as possible for the builders.” Construction time from slab pour to completion ranges from eight to ten months, although that can vary according to layout and materials.
One of the newest additions to the Lifestyle by Stadler custom home portfolio at Cordillera Ranch is the Somerset — a model home under construction at 20 Oakland Hills. This two-story 4,257-square-foot, three-bedroom, five-bath beauty sits on a 1.15-acre lot bordered by stands of trees and adjacent to the golf course, with beautiful sunset views.
Luxury touches abound in the Somerset, designed by Ray Stadler and architectural designer Jim Terrian of J Terrian Designs in Boerne, in a “transitional style on the modern side,” says Dean. Stucco painted in Sherwin-Williams® Snowbound sets off Windsor Select limestone in a smooth honed finish, rich cedar wood siding, metal accents and a Berridge Matte Black standing seam roof that “fits in very well with Cordillera Ranch and the Hill Country with a little modern flair.” The house features a three-car garage and a picturesque backyard pool with pool bath and shower.
Inside, a bright, expansive open floor plan of family/dining/kitchen is grounded by BPI European White Oak wood flooring in Avaron Abalone laid in a side-to-side pattern throughout most of the house, and in a herringbone pattern to set off the foyer. A tiled fireplace warms the space.
Huge sliding doors framed in black bring the outdoors in, with abundant natural light accenting the main walls and ceiling painted in Sherwin-William High Reflective White.
The spacious media/game room is family- and kid-friendly with Shawn Anderson Tuftax Yin Collection Aristocrat carpet flooring in Silver Polish and an adjacent outdoor covered media deck.
The kitchen boasts Steel Gray Leathered granite countertops on the perimeter, with Statuario Quartzite for the backsplash and atop the island.
The large master suite features a dramatic accent wall covered in KBK grasscloth in Charcoal Black. The master bath vanity has Pure White Polished Vicostone, with a shower wall in Interceramic® Cortina Juno White Polished 12×24 tiles and Cortina Juno White Matte Rhombus tile in a chevron pattern on the shower floor. The wall behind the freestanding tub is Cortina Gray 10×5 Rhombus Polished tile extending all the way to the ceiling.
Upstairs, a flex room with its own bath and covered balcony can serve as a fourth bedroom or the perfect get-away-from-it-all study.
The projected completion date for the Somerset model home on Oakland Hills at Cordillera Ranch is July 2021.
As chief operating officer, Richard Howell interacts with all departments as well as keeping construction-related schedules moving to completion. He says the new Lifestyle by Stadler approach to custom home building has strengthened trade partner relationships. “The trades appreciate the amount of information we convey to them prior to starting work. This helps them plan their particular task and minimize trips to the job site which in turn reduces cost. It all adds up to faster, better built and more affordable homes for our customers.”
The entire Stadler team — one of the most experienced in Texas — agrees that Cordillera Ranch is instrumental in their success. Says Howell, “I appreciate the way they hold the builders in the community to a higher standard.” Dean adds, “We really enjoy working out there. With the Clubhouse, the pool, gun range, the parks, it’s a phenomenal neighborhood.”
Stadler concurs, “Cordillera Ranch development and sales teams really care about maintaining value for their landowners and upholding very high standards, which is not easy to do in today’s world.” Clearly excited about the new Lifestyle by Stadler brand, he adds, “We will extend the same unparalleled quality, creativity and attention to detail that built the original Stadler brand to a price level that historically has not had access to such high-quality builds. When we walk houses at that price point, we see a huge need for quality, and
Lifestyle by Stadler will fill that need while giving clients a peace of mind.”
