Texas is steeped in tradition. As we enter this season of time-honored traditions, it’s timely to share stories of those passed down along with some new.

Our featured residents, Cindy and Larry Taylor, share traditions from their multi-generational Texas lineage: appreciation for the outdoors, cooking, time with family and friends, community service and volunteerism. Residents since 2002, you must consider the Taylor’s “pioneers” of Cordillera Ranch, evident through long-time involvement in many of this community’s clubs, activities, social scene and giving of themselves. You don’t get any more Texan than that!

The Clubs of Cordillera Ranch continue to develop programs that have become traditions and are sure to endure. Much anticipated weekly gatherings at Gold Rush, Friday nights on the patios, spectacular wine dinners and culinary events along with more seasonally festive activities like our Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s related celebrations are becoming traditions in their own rite. And new opportunities through the expansion of facilities like The Lodges reckon back to a simpler, regenerative heritage on the land that became Cordillera Ranch.

Seasonal traditions in the area are decades old and attract thousands searching for the holiday spirit through festivals and gatherings in the quaint, small town of Boerne and the enchanting Texas Hill Country, both with their storybook-like seasonal holiday settings.

So, enjoy the read and know that all of us at Cordillera Ranch wish you a Happy Thanksgiving, a Merry Christmas and happy, healthy and prosperous 2020 full of long traditions held and new traditions being formed.
