The Clubs of Cordillera Ranch (COCR) are a sanctuary of refinement and recreation, offering an array of activities guided by expert instructors. From golf to horseback riding, COCR provides top-tier training that enhances members' skills and enriches their leisure time. Here’s an overview of the diverse professional instruction available at COCR.
Golf Instruction
Golf is often the cornerstone of private club amenities. Our professional golf instructors, many of whom are PGA-certified, offer personalized lessons to golfers of all levels. Whether you’re a beginner learning the basics or an experienced player refining your swing, our instructors use advanced techniques and tools, such as video analysis and launch monitors, to help you improve. Clinics, workshops and one-on-one coaching sessions ensure that members can continuously develop their game in a supportive environment.
Tennis and Pickleball Instruction
Tennis and the rapidly growing sport of pickleball are staples at private clubs. Our certified professional instructors all have backgrounds in competitive play, and provide comprehensive training that includes technique, stroke production, court positioning, strategy and match play. Lessons are tailored to all ages and skill levels, with both individual and group sessions available. Private lessons are available by appointment. Regular tournaments and social events foster a vibrant, active community around these dynamic sports.
Fitness Training and Exercise Classes
Our Club prioritizes holistic well-being, offering fitness training and exercise classes led by certified personal trainers and fitness instructors. From strength training and cardio workouts to yoga and Pilates, the range of classes caters to diverse fitness goals. Personalized training programs are designed to help members achieve their health and wellness objectives, with state-of-the-art fitness facilities providing the perfect environment for progress.
Fly Fishing Instruction
Fly fishing is an elegant and meditative sport that our Club embraces. Our lead instructor, Lefty Ray Chapa, has been teaching fly fishing for over 40 years. He teaches the art and science of fly fishing. Members learn about casting techniques, fly selection and reading water currents.
Shooting Instruction
For those interested in shooting sports, our Club features shooting ranges and we offer professional instruction in various disciplines, including shotgun and sporting clays, handguns, rifle and self-defense. Certified instructors emphasize safety, accuracy and technique, catering to both novices and experienced shooters. The structured training ensures a safe and enjoyable experience, enhancing members’ proficiency and confidence.
Horseback Training
Equestrian enthusiasts find a haven at our Equestrian Center with horseback training programs. Professional trainers provide lessons in riding, jumping and dressage, tailored to riders of all ages and skill levels. The comprehensive training includes horsemanship skills, fostering a deep bond between rider and horse. With our multiple riding arenas, this Club offers an idyllic setting for equestrian pursuits.

Our PGA and LPGA professional staff offer a la carte private instruction. Whether you want to spend time in our state-of-the-art Performance Center, which offers TrackMan and video Technology, work outside on all things short game, or tidy up your game and course management skills on the course, our team is ready to help.

Chicks & Sticks – for beginner and intermediate female golfers focusing on every aspect of the game.

Club Fitting
You wouldn’t buy running shoes that are too small, so why use clubs that do not fit you or your golf game? Equipment fitting is arguably one of the most overlooked and delayed aspects of the game.
One thing that makes Cordillera Ranch stand out among other facilities is we perform all our club fitting in-house. This allows the fitting process to be much more personal and you can trust that our professional staff will ensure your equipment is maximizing your game, whether this is by adjusting your current set or dialing in new clubs. The Performance Center houses the latest and greatest from top brands like Callaway, TaylorMade, Titleist, Ping, XXIO and Srixon.

Tennis & Pickleball Clinics
Cordillera Ranch offers private and group instruction by certified professionals for both tennis and pickleball, for adults and juniors of all ages and levels.
Private Instruction
Private lessons for tennis and pickleball are available by appointment only. Our professionals work on multiple aspects of your game. From technique, stroke production, court positioning, strategy and fitness, we are here to help you improve all areas of your game.
Player Development Programs
Adult Coed and Ladies clinics available three days a week for tennis and five days a week for pickleball. This includes but is not limited to beginner, intermediate and advanced clinics.
Pickleball 101 is offered for members interested in learning the basics of pickleball, and specialty clinics to work on specific aspects of your game for all levels.

Beginner Junior Clinics – ages 4-7

Racket Restringing, Regripping and Footwear
We offer restringing/regripping for tennis and have several demo tennis rackets and pickleball paddles to find the right fit for each member. You can find the best fit for level and style of play, and the right footwear for the tennis or pickleball court.
